SA News_Himpunan mahasiswa prodi sosiologi agama (HMPS SA) Fakultas Ushuluddin Adab dan Dakwah (FUAD) IAIN Parepare turut mengambil bagian dalam aksi kemanusiaan untuk korban bencana alam di tanah air. Mahasiswa pro aktif untuk terlibat dalam aksi penggalangan dana dengan membuka donasi sekaligus ikut serta menyalurkan logistik di tempat-tempat pengungsian warga terdampak bencana gempa bumi di Majene Sulawesi Barat.
Ketua prodi sosiologi agama Sulvinajayanti mengatakan, keikutsertaan mahasiswa SA FUAD IAIN Parepare merupakan bentuk solidaritas sosial, di mana mereka turut bersimpati terhadap masyarakat yang menjadi korban, sehingga turut ambil bagian dalam membantu penanganan korban bencana alam.
Para mahasiswa SA mengambil peran masing-masing dalam aksi sosial ini. Mereka tidak hanya turun lapangan menggalang dana, tetapi juga turut serta membagikan kebutuhan-kebutuhan yang diperluka korban di lokasi bencana.
Adapun bantuan yang diserahkan tersebut berupa makanan dan minuman. Saat ini para mahasiswa selain terjun ke lokasi, sebagian juga masih terlibat menggalang dana kemanusiaan. Bahkan HMPS SA juga telah bergabung dalam kegiatan open donasi yang diselenggarakan oleh himpunan mahasiswa sosiologi Se-Sulawesi Selatan. (Mhy).
