SA News- Muhammad Fajar mahasiswa program studi sosiologi agama (SA) mengikuti pelatihan metodologi penelitian mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) di Jakarta. Kegiatan Pembinaan Penelitian yang inisiasi oleh Diktis Kementerian Agama tersebut diselenggarakan pada tanggal 14-15 Desember 2020 dengan mengundang pengurus Organisasi Kemahasiswaan Intra Kampus pada PTKIN sejumlah 50 orang.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam Muhammad Ali Ramdhani mengatakan bahwa kemampuan penelitian sangat penting bagi mahasiswa sebagai salah satu metode menggali informasi dan menyampaikannya kepada khalayak. Dikatakan esensi penelitian adalah menemukan kebenaran dan menjustifikasi kepercayaan dalam bingkai kejujuran.
“Melalui kegiatan ini minimal mereka mengenal hal ikhwal penelitian terutama metodologi agar membantu mereka menulis tugas akhir skripsi”, kata Ruchman Basori Kasubdit Sarpras dan Kemahasiswaan.
Selain itu lanjut Ruchman, kemampuan meneliti bisa menjadi bekal efektif untuk membekali kapasitas dalam hal survey dan menulis karya-karya ilmiah berbasis riset. “Agar mahasiswa mencintai riset maka motivasi harus berbalut kapasiti harus terus dikembangkan, salah satunya melalui Pembinaan Penelitian seperti sekarang ini”, jelasnya.
Muhammad Fajar, mahasiswa program studi sosiologi agama Fakultas Ushuluddin Adab dan Dakwah (FUAD) IAIN Parepare, turut diundang menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan tersebut. Muhammad Fajar diberi tugas oleh kampus untuk menjadi delegasi mewakili kampus Institut Agama Islam Negeri Parepare. Menurut Muhammad Fajar, ada kebanggaan tersendiri bisa menghadiri event nasional bertemu dengan kawan-kawan mahasiswa dari berbagai belahan nusantara.
“Saya cukup bangga karena bisa direkomendasikan mewakili kampus untuk mengikuti pelatihan tersebut, ini tentu saja tidak hanya turut mengenalkan kampus IAIN Parepare dengan teman sejawat, tetapi juga membawa nama besar program studi sosiologi agama di kancah nasional”, ungkap Muhammad Fajar yang juga ketua SEMA FUAD IAIN Parepare.
Direktorat Diktis berusaha terus menerus meningkatkan kapasitas mahasiswa PTKI yang sampai saat ini berjumlah 1,17 juta mahasiswa. Salah satunya melalui pembinaan metodologi penelitian mahasiswa. Di samping itu juga pembekalan kepemimpinan melalui Diklatpim dan juga bakat dan minat melalui Olimpiade Agama Sains dan Riset (OASE) dan Pekan Seni dan Olahraga Dikalangan Mahasiswa (PESONA). (Mhy).
